In English: Limestone have been mined from this cliff from the 17th century. This area was the primary chalk supplier for the Finland's first cement factory which was built at 1869 in Savio, Kerava (see cache GC1V0DX). Horse powered railway was built from the mine area to the roadside where the chalk mine was burnt and loaded to cargo trains. While the limestone was good in quality the mines became exhausted in early 18th century and were abandoned. Most of the caves are now filled with water. It's said that the biggest cave was big enough for the Sipoo old church (see cache GCGW34) turn around inside. The cache is located near one water filled mine. The cliffs could be very slippery, you should be careful when on the site. There are no constructions left, nor there are any rails or fences on the edges. The cache is a plastic container. There's no need to do anything dangerous to reach the cache. Though, during winter thick snow could hide the cache and ice could make the surroundings dangerously slippery. Suomeksi: Täältä on louhittu kalkkia 1800-luvulta lähtien. Alue oli tärkeä kalkintoimittaja vuonna 1869 Keravan Saviolle (katso kätkö GCQPQF) perustetulle Suomen ensimmäiselle sementtitehtaalle. Alueelta rakennettiin hevosvetoinen rautatie tielinjan varteen jossa kalkkikivi poltettiin ja tuote lastattiin edelleen junanvaunihin. Talman kalkkikiven laatu oli hyvä mutta esiintymä suppeahko. Louhinta lopetettiin 1900-luvun alkupuolella ja louhos hylättiin. Suurin osa luolista on täyttynyt vedellä. On sanottu että suurin luolista oli niin iso että Sipoon vanha kirkko (katso kätkö GCGW34) olisi mahtunut kääntymään sisällä. Kätkö sijaitsee erään vedellä täyttyneen louhoksen lähellä. Kalliot voivat olla etenkin märkinä hyvin liukkaita, alueella tulee noudattaa varovaisuutta. Alueella ei ole rakennuksia jäljellä eikä myöskään kaiteita eikä aitoja jyrkänteiden reunoilla. Kätkö on muovirasia. Kätkön löytääkseen ei tarvitse tehdä mitään vaarallista. Talvella kuitenkin runsas lumi voi peittää kätkön ja jää voi tehdä kätkön ympäristön vaarallisen liukkaaksi.
