No Bushwack required!!! There is a small road just to the south of the mill. You can park at the mill, walk 100' south and down the road. Or if in a SUV or Truck you can drive down the road. If you park on the road, do NOT cut through the sage brush, there is no need.
The cache is outside the fence. There is a also a stream that runs nearby. This would be a great place for a picnic and to let the kids play for a bit.
Osiris is a small ghost town centered around a mill and creamery. It is worth the trip out here just for the pictures of the old building.
Growing up in Escalante I remember exploring the ruins. The building across the street were vacant, and everything could be entered and explored. Today its all fenced off with No Trespassing signs. You will have to enjoy the view from the outside.
