Old Symbol or Carving Multi-cache
canpaddle: Due to the near miss by the new trail systems in the area, the first stage was missed by mere inches, and the second stage had been removed by the trail builders. Am letting this old cache go. This has been an excellent cache over the years.

Take Grand Ave. to Becks Rd. and continue 3 miles to Ulland Bros,gravel road park at gate, there is a ATV/ SMowmobile trail crossing here. Follow old railroad RR grade and continue, over the old RR Bridge and onto the Tunnel. Follow trail up to base of tall cliff, skirting around the bottom to the right, and find your way to the top, and the first stage. Please dont climb this cliff unless your skill level allows you to. There is a trail at the base going to the right, that brings you close to the top. First stage 35mm. container four feet off the ground in a spruce tree. Second stage same container, in two smaller, young dying elm trees, at the ground level near an old fire pit. Final is in small round screw cover container in a small pile of rocks. Please replace these rocks well. Log to sign, and some nice trade swag, and 4 quarters for the FTF. 28 feet to the north of this cache is a eight spoked circle carved into the rock, about twelve inches in diameter. It faces exactley west. In the cache I have included a map and a drawing showing the location of the eight spoke carving. This carving is very faint, and is mostly covered with lichens, but is visible upon close inspection. I also provided coordinates to this location. Please replace these back in the cache. Soon I will download photos of this carving today. These objects seem old and there are lichens growing on them. These may be ancient carvings, but Im not saying that they are. They look very old though. Please treat these areas with respect and care. Bring a pen to sign the log, and a camera. Suggested parking at a closer spot that has recectly been built also off of Becks Rd. is at Elys Peak Climbers Parking Area and Trail at N46*40.810 W092*15.573 JUST FOLLOW THIS TRAIL UP TO RR GRADE AND TO THE TUNNEL. Just off Becks Road also.
