A circular walk around The Wall Fort, an iron
age fortification. The remains of the Fort can clearly be seen on
the walk, with mounds and dips in the land.
To find the final cache you need to find 4
intermediate stages. All the stages are accessible from the path -
no bushwacking is required. The total walk is just over 1.5 miles
and should take around 45 minutes to complete.
The route takes you along permissive footpaths
which are all well signed, both at the start and at all the main
gates along the walk. Please keep any dogs on leads at all times as
cattle and sheep may be in some of the fields on the walk. The
final part of the walk involves walking along a quiet lane, so
obviously keep an eye out for any traffic.
Parking is just by the co-ordinates at the top
of the page. The first stage is at these co-ordinates - this has
the co-ordinates to the second stage etc etc.
To give you something to do on the walk down the
quiet lane back to the car, we've hidden another cache - Fauxliage. This inspired by the heavily
camo'd hides from the "camo factory" in Jacksonville, Florida
that we did a few of on a recent holiday there. It's hidden in
plain sight but can you see it?
