A minha 8ª cache (1ª mystery cache)!
Frustado pelas sucessivas caches-mistério/enigma que
não tenho conseguido desvendar, decidi criar a minha 1ª
cache deste género para me vingar (estou a brincar,
claro)!
Esta cache encontra-se no interior do belo Jardim Botânico da
Ajuda. Este espaço é relativamente pouco conhecido
devido a estar dentro de muros, passando a sua entrada despercebida
a olhos menos atentos.
Este Jardim, do século XVIII e com 3,5 ha de área,
foi o primeiro jardim botânico português e foi
construido com o intuito de servir como espaço de lazer do
Palácio da Ajuda e para a educação dos
principes reais, em particular de D. José, filho de D.
José I e D. Maria I.
O Jardim foi projectado por Miguel Franzini e construido sob a
direcção do Dr. Domingos Vandelli, em 1765.
O espaço encontra-se dividido em duas grandes áreas
principais:
O tabuleiro inferior, um jardim geométrico de bucho ao
estilo italiano, onde existem várias árvores e lagos,
estando em destaque o lago central denominado "Fonte das 41 Bicas",
construido em estilo barroco, onde predominam as formas
animais.
O tabuleiro superior alberga a maior parte da
colecção botânica, onde estão as
espécies vegetais divididas em canteiros e, por sua vez,
estes em grandes áreas geográficas mais ou menos
correspondentes aos continentes de origem das espécies.
Destaque ainda para as estufas de vidro que aqui se encontram e,
principalmente, para o dragoeiro com mais de 400 anos, simbolo do
jardim. Infelizmente este belo espécime vegetal colapsou
recentemente devido a uma doença no seu caule, tendo sido
construida uma estrutura para o tentar recuperar.
A CACHE:
Para descobrirem a cache final terão de resolver enigmas
para desvendar as coordenadas da mesma.
As coordenadas indicadas levar-vos-ão até à
entrada do jardim e à 1ª cache. Esta 1ª cache
não terá as coordenadas da próxima cache, mas
sim parte das coordenadas da cache final e um enigma que
terá de ser decifrado para vos permitir alcançar a
2ª. A 2ª terá parte das coordenadas da cache final
e o enigma que vos levará à 3ª e por assim em
diante, até obterem as coordenadas completas da cache final
e uma hint para a encontrar.
As 4 primeiras caches são micros e a cache final é um
tupperware transparente rectangular, embrulhado num saco de
plástico cinzento
As coordenadas da cache final são N 38º 42.AB
W 9º 12.CD
em que A, B, C, D são números que vão sendo
desvendados ao longo das 1ª, 2ª, 3ª e 4ª
caches.
A entrada no jardim é paga (2€ por adulto, 1,5€
aos domingos). O horário é todos os dias, excepto
4ªs-feiras, das 9h até às 19/20h no verão
e até às 18h no inverno.
Para encontrar esta cache não é preciso pisar
nenhumas plantas ou canteiros. Por favor ajudem à boa
conservação deste jardim.

My 8th cache (1st Mystery cache)
Frustated by the sucessive failures at solving mistery-caches, i've
decided to create my own to revenge (just kidding, of
course)
This cache is placed inside of the beautiful Ajuda's Botanic
Garden. This space is relevatly unknown by most people because is
inside walls, so it's entrance can remain unspotted by less aweary
eyes.
This 18th century garden have 3,5 ha and it was Portugal's first
Botanic Garden. It was built with the purpose to serve as Ajuda
Palace's leisure area and for the education of the royal princes,
particularly of D. José, son of the king D. José I
and the queen D. Maria I.
The garden was projected by Miguel Franzini and buit under the
direction of Dr. Domingos Vandelli, in 1765.
The space is subdivided into two main areas:
The low platform, a geometric italian style bush garden, were there
are several lakes and trees, and the highlight is the central lake
or "Fonte das 41 Bicas" (41 taps fountain), built in baroque style,
were the animal forms prevail.
The high platforms holds the major part of the botanical colection,
were the vegetal species are divided into stonemasons and major
geographical areas. Highlight also to the glass greenhouses and,
mainly, to the 400 years hold draco tree, a symbol of this garden.
Unfortunatly this fine vegetal specimen has recently colapsed due
to a illness in his stem. A metalic structure was built to try his
recover.
THE CACHE:
To find the final cache you will have to solve some enigmas in
order to get the final cache's coordinates.
The published coordinates will take you to the garden's entry and
to the 1st cache. This 1st cache will not have the coordinates to
the next cache but rather an enigma that you have to solve in order
to find the 2nd cache. This 2nd cache will have part of the final
cache's coordinates and an enigma to find the 3rd cache and so on,
until you get the final cache's complete coordinates and a hint to
find it.
The first four caches are micros and the final cache is a
rectangular transparent tupperware, packed in a grey plastic
bag.
The final cache's coordinates are: N 38º 42,AB
W 9º 12,CD
were A, B, C, D are numbers that are gona be unvealed along the
1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th caches.
The garden's entrance is paid (2€ per adult, 1,5€ at
sunday).
The timetable is from 9am to 7/8pm in the summer and from 9am to
6pm in the winter. It's closed at wednesdays.
To find this cache it isn't needed to step any stonemasons or
plants. Please help to mantain the good conservation of this
garden.
