[CZ]: Na místě souřadnic naleznete nádherný dub, jehož stáří se odhaduje na více než 400 let. Mohutný dub je vysoký 24 metrů a jeho rozložitá koruna měří 29 metrů. Strom dnes nese jméno rodáka ze Skřivan, Václava Vojtěcha, a v roce 2006 byl vybrán do finále celostátní ankety "Strom roku".
Proč je dub pojmenovaný "Vojtěchův"? Opodál se nachází bývalá hájovna, která je dnes v poměrně neutěšeném stavu. Přesto, právě zde se v roce 1901 narodil světoběžník Václav Vojtěch, který se později zapsal do historie českého polárnictví jako první Čech, který kdy překonal jižní polární kruh a vstoupil na území Antarktidy.
Václav Vojtěch se dostal na palubu lodi Eleanor Bolling, která vezla z Nového Zélandu zásoby pro americké polárníky, kteří pobývali pod vedením admirála R.E.Byrda ve Velrybím zálivu Rossova moře. V prosinci 1928 loď protnula jižní polární kruh a v podvečer 27.ledna 1929 vstoupil V.Vojtěch jako první Čech v historii na ledovou Rossovu bariéru v Antarktidě.

[EN]: You will find a beautiful oak at the initial coordinates. Its age is estimated to more than 400 years. The giant oak is 24 metres high and its branched crown measures 29 metres. Nowadays, the tree bears name of the native from Skrivany, Vaclav Vojtech. It was chosen to the final of the nationwide opinion poll "Tree of the year 2006".
Why is the oak named "Vojtechuv"? There is a former gamekeeper's lodge nearby, which is currently in a rather gloomy state. In spite of that, right here was born the globetrotter Vaclav Vojtech in 1901 who inscribed himself in history of Czech polar expeditionary as the first Czech to cross the south polar circle and entered the land of Antarctica.
Vaclav Vojtech got aboard the ship Eleanor Bolling that transported supplies from New Zealand for the American polar explorers who camped in the Bay of Whales in the Ross Sea under the leadership of admiral R.E.Byrd. The ship crossed the south polar circle in December 1928 and in the evening of 27th January 1929, V.Vojtech as the first Czech in history stepped upon the Ross Ice Shelf in Antarctica.
