Lapin Lennoston Kilta ry on pystyttänyt muistomerkin suoalueelle
Lapin sodan aikana pudonneen suomalaisen lentokoneen JK-263
muistoksi.
Lapin Lennoston Kilta ry has build a memorial for the Finnish
aeroplane JK-263, which crashed into the swamp in the WW2.
Suoalueelle pudonneen lentokoneen putoamissyytä ei varmuudella ole
selvitetty. On epäilty, että se on vaurioitunut
ilmatorjuntatulessa. Suoalueella on edelleenkin löydettävissä
pudonneen lentokoneen osia, joita on kerätty lähelle
muistomerkkiä.
The reason why the aeroplane had crashed during the Second World
War had not been solved. It has been thought that the plane has
been damaged in anti-aircraft fire. There are still parts of the
aeroplane to be found near the memorial.
