This four-stage cache involves an easy, countryside start point; a 'stay-in-your-car' visit to a nearby small town whilst obtaining a continuation clue: followed by two short countryside-walking sections with abundant bird life.
The vicinity of the first stage is about 1.5 km eastwards from Exit 2 towards Exit 3 on the A22 motorway. Of course, you cannot stop on a motorway. However, there is an easily accessible means of reaching this first stage ‘start-up’ clue with a suitable parking site nearby – opposite the graffiti ‘Mushroom Power’.
At this site directions will be obtained for continuing the cache search including coordinate directions to the second stage.
The second stage is an easily approached location where the encryption key for the rest of the cache is obtained, including means of decoding item 2 on the instruction sheet. Item 2 is just a place to park your car and is not a stage.
The third stage is located some 0.9 km from the above parking site. The walk between parking the car and arriving at the site of the third stage is pleasant and easy with plentiful bird life. The final walk to the cache site, i.e. the fourth stage is scratchy but not difficult..
Allow 2 hours from start to finish.
