Geocache Description:

Are you looking for a new area [ hiking trail just put in..June 2007 ] to explore?
This cache designed for the Jonboy’s in some of us…[ translates to: HIKING ]
Trail is called Aspetuck Valley trail and is in the Centennial Watershed State Forest and even connects up with trails in Huntington State Park!

Above posted coords…are for first stage, a container with coords for final actual cache hiding place.
41 20.085 73 20.213 are for parking. Easy to find, no micro edge of road but large open gravel off road safe parking
complete with porta potty and information kiosk.

Officially, to hike this trail you must have a copy of the Aspetuck Valley Trails map as a permit. A permit can be obtained at Redding Town Hall off of Rt. 107, the Mark Twain Library Rt. 53 Redding and even the pavilion at Putnam Park, if open. The Aquarion Water Co., Black rock TPK Rt. 58 Easton 203 452-3511 will even send you a copy..its free. Get the Saugatuck one also…needed to do some of Lostboys caches.
Trail maps are [now] also available at or near the info kiosks.

Stay on blue blazed trail, do not bushwhack, info stage and final are very near or next to the trail.
Replace everything as found, particularly hide to avoid casual detection by muggles, however, allow some of “device” and Ammo can
to peek out and be visible to keen eyes of observant fellow cacher.

Be aware and familiar with hunting regulations especially during hunting season…As regulations do change…check for latest info.
