Geocache Description:

There are new Parcourses and old fitness courses scattered around Mecklenburg parks, but few have fallen into such disrepair as the one disintegrating in the spooky forest behind Albemarle Road Park. Come visit the ghost of fitness past and find a cache while you're at it, if you dare.

There is a paved path to a playground and ballfield behind the nearby school, but otherwise not much to attract the kids, or adults for that matter. The jogging trail begins behind the abandoned shelter, crosses a creek and soon becomes overgrown. The fitness equipment you may encounter has not been maintained so please do not use. Park closes at sunset, please do not attempt after dark or alone. Cache is medium-small Rubbermaid container with variety of items including empty Compact Flash card found at Glen Burney Falls.
