[FRA]je vous proposons de découvrir ce village du pays de Marsanne http://www.marsanne.info , Bonlieu sur Roubion, qui est né autour de son monastère, toujours en activité, dont la basilique s'inscrit dans le courant du roman provençal.
Des norbertines et, plus récemment, des prémontrés, occupent ce qui était au Moyen-Age une abbaye cistercienne de femmes fondée en 1171 sur des terres données par la comtesse de Marsanne.
Grâce au Roubion, le monastère a longtemps fait tourner un moulin dont l'exploitation n'a cessé que dans les années 1960. On y produisait de l'huile de noix et des farines. Captée à Saint-Gervais, l'eau était acheminée par un canal qui passait sous le lit de la rivière en siphon. Le précieux liquide alimentait aussi le lavoir du couvent et permettait d'irriguer le jardin des religieuses.
A la fin de la dernière guerre, comme La Laupie, Bonlieu a vécu la bataille de Montélimar en août 1944. Le village a marqué un temps la ligne de front entre Allemands et Américains. La localité a été désertée pour devenir un véritable no man's land séparant les protagonistes.
Une randonnée pédestre vous conduira si vous le souhaitez au serre de Puyguillaumin pour découvrir un panorama sur la plaine de Marsanne et les Préalpes.

The village of Bonlieu grew up around the monastery, which is still in use today. The monastery church is in the romanesque provencal style.
The monastery is occupied by Norbertine nuns and more recently by “Prémontré” monks. In the 12th century, Saint Norbert began this religious order, which is sometimes called in English the Premonstratensians after the valley of Prémontré, near Laon in northern France, where it was founded. In the middle ages the building was a women's Cistercian abbey, which had been founded in 1171 on land donated by the countess of Marsanne.
For many years the monastery operated a mill, using water from the river Roubion, and this continued until the 1960s. The mill produced nut oil and flour. The water was routed along a canal from Saint Gervais and passed under the river bed using a syphon. The stream also filled the convent's wash-house and irrigated the nuns' garden.
A walk from the village leads to the Puyguillaumin hill, which has a panoramic view over the Marsanne plain and the foothills of the Alps.
