G77 aimanté (micro cache), posée au
pont levant,
un
croisement essentiel.
Depuis
son origine , le petit port de pêche du Grau du roi est devenu le
second port de pêche de la Méditerranée et une très grosse station
balnéaire du golfe du Lion.
6 000
âmes vivent à l’année et plus de 150 000 touristes
pour la saison estivale.
Imaginez
le trafic routier couplé avec le trafic fluvial, et son activité de
pêche, c’est pour cette raison que la ville s’est dotée
de deux ponts spéciaux.
Dans un premier temps, un pont
tournant :
Conçut
en 1901, il était à péage,. Détruit en 1912 , il est remplacé par
une passerelle, puis par un bac. En 1928, un nouveau pont tournant
est construit puis, à nouveau détruit en 1944.
C’est
en 1951, que l’actuel pont tournant voit le jour.
Son but étant l’ouverture au grand large et le retour au port
des bateaux de pêche, ces derniers créent toujours une attraction
touristique et un agacement pour les automobilistes se trouvant
ainsi pris au piège de la circulation.

ouvrage, le pont levant, accueillant la
micro-cache :
Mis en
service en 1981, il a pour intérêt d’ouvrir le canal aux
plaisanciers navigant entre la cité médiévale d’Aigues-Mortes
et la
station balnéaire du Grau du Roi.

Son
stationnement peut se faire depuis le centre ville où de nombreux
parkings sont présents et payants, ou bien au bord de l’étang
dans la direction de la Grande-Motte, sur l’accotement de la
Départementale D979, à envisager avec beaucoup de
vigilance.
Quant
à la G77, elle se trouve, très proche du rond-point de
l’entrée du Grau du Roi, avec un trafic très dense, redoublez
donc de vigilance et évitez de vous diriger à l’aide de votre
GPS, rejoignez simplement la cabine commandant le pont
levant.

Since its origin, the small fishing port of the Grau du Roi became

seaside resort of the Gulf of Lions.

bridges.

a swing bridge :
Conceived
in 1901, it was with toll. Destroyed in 1912, it is replaced by a
footbridge, then by a vat. In 1928, a new swing bridge is built

goal being the opening to the big wide and the return to the port

the King, with a very dense traffic, thus redoubles vigilance and
avoids directing you using your GPS, joins simply the cabin
ordering the raising bridge.
