Geocache Description:

A quick and easy Kids and Family Friendly cache, in a lil' hidden park in Plymouth!

Cache Details

This afternoon the 'Noles kidlets were getting on each other's last nerves, so I threw all four kids into the van for a little roadtrip to hide this cache. It took five minutes to hide it, forty-five minutes to burn off energy at the playground, fifteen minutes to devour cool treats at Dairy Queen, and within five minutes more they were asleep in the van for the long drive home. Mission accomplished! :)

This cache is hidden in Imperial Hills Park, which is a hidden gem of a neighborhood park in Plymouth. I used to live just around the corner from here, when I first moved to Minnesota back in 1985! You can see my 2-yr old girl Rachael at the park, helping me grab coordinates for the hide today, in the picture above - sorry for the quality, but it came from my camera phone, what can I say?

Location, Parking, and Access

There are three entrances to the park, but the closest access to the cache is from the North, along 19th Avenue. Free and legal street parking is available at the trailhead, next to the park sign, at N 44° 59.970 W 093° 30.715. From there, it's a short walk on a paved trail to the cache location. The tree cover didn't do me any favors today while grabbing coords, so I've added a spoiler hint below...don't look unless your GPS is jumpy and you want to ruin the fun!

You are looking for a neon-green Pog tub, tucked out of harm's way. There's not much room in there, but it will work for trades with very small items. It starts out with two small trinkets hand-selected from the 'Noles kidlet's personal collection, a $1 bill that I found in a cache a couple of days ago, and an ARK-MO geocoin I lost in the clutter of my desk for over a year, and just found again today.

Many thanks to pfalstad for giving me the cache container on short notice...although it came from him, the hide is completely my fault, so don't blame him if you think it's lame. :) This is a fun park, and my family and I hope you enjoy it as much as we did today...as always - thanks, have fun, and happy hunting!
