Vain kiven heiton päässä Forssan keskustasta Keskuskadulla sijaitsee Forssan Elävien Kuvien Teatteri, joka on Suomen vanhin maaseudulle rakennettu elokuvateatteri. Vuonna 1906 rakennetun talon suunnitteli Johan Albert Lindfors, ja se toimi elokuvateatterina vuoteen 1930 asti. Rakennus peruskorjattiin 2001 talkootyönä ja kantaa nyt kunniaansa Suomen vanhimpana edelleen esityskelpoisena elokuvateatterina.

Perinteinen Forssan mykkäelokuvafestivaalit järjestetään syyskuun ensimmäisenä viikonloppuna. Vanha puurakennus on miljööltään ja tunnelmaltaan kuin luotu mykkäelokuvien esityspaikaksi.

In the centre of Forssa is the oldest still “operating” movie theatre in Finland. This 1906 built and 2001 renovated building in the most delightful surroundings serves as venue for the silent movie festival held annually in the first week of September.
