Efter kommunesammenlægningen i januar 2007 blev Aabenraa kommune danmarks 8. største kommune arealmæssigt med sine 942 km2. Der bor ca. 60000 indbyggere i kommunen. De tidligere kommuner der indgår i Aabenraa kommune er: Aabenraa, Tinglev, Bov, Lundtoft og Rødekro.

Cachen er gemt i Årup skov syd for Aabenraa by. Terrænet er ganske kuperet, og egner sig godt til en søndagstur ud i det grønne. Cachen er en plastikboks gemt i nærhed af en bænk. I cachen er der på indersiden skrevet koden der skal bruges for at finde regionscachen. Husk at notere denne kode.

This cache is part of a series of caches which focuses on the new map of Denmark, following the reform of local government in 2007. There are caches in all 98 municipalities and 5 regions. To find a region cache you have to locate all municipality caches in the same region. If you manage to find all 5 regioncaches, you will have the coordinates to the final "Danmark" cache.

Since the municipality merging in January 2007, Aabenraa municipality has become the 8th largest in Denmark. It covers an area of 942km2. About 60000 people lives in the new Aabenraa municipality. The previous municipalities that were merged to Aabenraa municipality are: Aabenraa, Tinglev, Bov, Lundtoft and Rødekro.

The cache is hidden in Årup forest just south of Aabenraa. The terrain is quite hilly and is nice for a Sunday stroll. The cache is a plastic box hidden near a bench. The cache contains a code needed for finding the region cache. Remember to take a note.
