Below is a modified Battleship game board which consists of a 5X5 grid. Hidden on the grid are 3 boats, all of which are the ever-elusive "2 holed" PT Boats, named PT-1, PT-2, and PT-3. To find the coordinates of the battleship (final cache), you must first locate these 3 PT Boats. Once they are located, you will have to do some slight calculations to obtain the coordinates of the final cache (battleship).
To fire a shot, simply visit the location of one of the 25 virtual targets on the Charleston peninsula. There are no cache containers at any of these locations. Determine if the answer to the question for that location is true or false. If the answer is true, it is a "hit"; if the answer is false it is a "miss". There is no need to go to all 25 locations, but you will need to find all 3 PT boats (2 "hits" per boat for a total of 6 "hits") in order to obtain coordinates for the final cache.

Once you have determined the position of all 3 PT boats, you will need to determine the orientation and move some numbers around some. Here is all the information you will need to figure the final coordinates:
- On the grid, North is "up".
- PT-1 is not traveling the same direction as PT-3.
- PT-2 is the easternmost boat; PT-3 is the southernmost boat.
- All PT boats are either heading north or east.
- For translating rows to numbers, A=6; B=7; C=8; D=9; E=0. The front portion of a PT boat represents the columns (numbers 1-5). The rear portion of a PT boat represents the rows (numbers 6-0).
Final Coordinates:
Latitude: N 32º 46. (PT-1 rear)(PT-1 front)(PT-2 rear)
Longitude: W 079º 56. (PT-3 rear)(PT-2 front)(PT-3 front)
The final cache is an ammo box hidden somewhere on the Charleston peninsula. Find it and the battleship will be sunk and Charleston saved from sure destruction! Move fast, sailor—the entire Lowcountry—nay, the world—is counting on you!
The final cache is currently a lot smaller than an ammo box. While I find a worthy cache for such a puzzle, a replacement cache is waiting at final coordinates. Please bring your own pen (for now) and happy hunting! ~ Radbme, 1/2022
Many thanks to brdad, whose Bangor, ME cache "You Sank My Battleship!" was the inspiration for this cache!
