Ved Klintebakken, syd for Aakirkeby kan man skræve over en brudzone hvor hver sides sedimenter blev aflejret med 1.200.000.000 års mellemrum.
Denne blotlagte brudzone var en af hovedårsagerne til at oplevelses centeret NaturBornholm, blev lagt hvor den ligger.
For at kunne logge denne earthcache skal du sende svaret på det to følgende spørsmål via besked linket i min profil:

At Klintebakken, south of Aakirkeby, you can stand over a fault zone, with your feet 1.200.000.000 years apart.
This open fault zone, is one of the primary reasons to why the nature centre NaturBornholm, was placed nearby.
On one side of the fault, you can see the 1.700 million year old gneiss, and on the other you can se the 500 million years old sandstone.
To log this earthcache you must send the answer to the following two questions, to my by using the message link in my profile:
a) How has the fault zone been created?
b) How long did it take to create the fault zone?

Det anbefales at du går til det gamle stenbrud 100 meter syd for koordinaterne hvor man dels kan se havbunden bevaret i forstenet form, samt sporene efter vandmænd, der som resten af havbunden er blevet bevaret.
Disse forstenede vandmandsaftryk findes kun to andre steder i verdenen.

After finding the fault, I recomend a visit at the old quarry aprox. 100 metres south of the coordinates. Here you will find the fossilized seabed that containes several traces from the jellyfish that died there several million years ago.
These fossilized jellyfish tracefossils have only been found on two other locations in the world.
