For some reason, Shropshire does not have a TB hotel of any
kind. We thought we'd rectify this with a luxurious TB Resort &
Spa, easily accessible from the A41.
Handily situated mid-way between Market Drayton and Newport, the
A41 North Shropshire Travel Bug Resort & Spa offers all the
facilities a discerning TB or geocoin could ever need.
It's located on some of the highest ground in the immediate area
and offers pretty much 360° panormaic views. The
Hinstock trigpoint is very close to the cache. The trigpoint is
also a waymark. A cache, a waymark and a trigpoint at
the same time - what more can any cacher want!
Suggested parking is in the lane just off the A41 at N52 49.307
W2 27.082. From here you will need to cross the A41 to get to the
cache, so we'd advise the usual caution if caching with children or
dogs as it can get busy here.
You are looking for a large sized ammo can with plenty of space
for TB's and swaps.
N.B. The trigpoint is on the edge of the field to the south
of the cache. Once you have found the cache, after 100ft (or
thereabouts) on the walk back to your car, go through the right
border of the lane to get to the trigpoint. There are great views
to the south from the trigpoint, including The Wrekin and Caer
Caradoc on a clear day.
