Geocache Description:

This cache will lead you to one of the more remote tourist areas of Bali. This is a gorgeous place to relax and see the sunset, and a great area to spend some time. Visitors will be rewarded with cliff side ocean views. Bring your swimsuit.

The loot is stashed just past Good Karma and before Reincarnation.

It seems that most of the terrain in Bali is used for living, farming, or grazing. This trek will take you along a hilly shore to lived-on land. Although this area is touristed it offers a nice antidote to the bustle of Ubud and Kuta. The drive to this site from Kuta will take you through some of the most beautiful rice terraces in Bali. Bring a camera.

The cache is easy to find, but hard to reach without some transport. We recommend attempting this cache only if you plan on staying overnight in the area, as it is about three hours from Kuta. If you do stay and enjoy snorkeling/scuba, check out the sunken World War II vessel nearby-a huge ship with plenty of fish stowaways.

When you reach the cache coordinates, proceed through a passage that carries you up between two small bales* (*see clues). You will find the cache where they accept cash. Tell the gatekeeper that you are there for the geocache. The first person to reach the cache will be treated to a refreshment by the gatekeeper.

The cache is in a plastic box with all sorts of supplies for the weary traveller. Chapstick, earplugs (for those pesky rooster call mornings), playing cards (one pack is from the Pajarito Springs cache in New Mexico, USA), a small flashlight, etc. There are also three handmade clay beads that say "peace" in three languages. These are from the Burning Man Festival 1999 in Nevada, USA.

This is not a commercial cache, but is found on commercial land. We placed it here to keep it from being overturned in a rice padi or discovered by a wandering dog. However, few will be disappointed by the remoteness and beauty of the area. It is also a treat to meet the kindly gatekeepers. We look forward to hearing about your adventure.
