Geocache Description:


The cache is an ammo can at the top of Dixie Mountain (8327 feet). There is a small parking area very near the cache. When we placed the cache the road was good enough to take the family SUV as long as it has enough clearance for the occasional large rock. There are some rougher patches that would require care but in general the road is well maintained by the Forest Service. This cache is only available in the summer so if you want to be the FTF plan your trip now.

The resident rangerette asks that you only visit her between 9:30 AM and 6 PM. You do not need to visit the lookout to find the cache.

If you like spectacular views, this is the place to be!!
