Geocache Description:

The cache is located near the collapsed tunnel and the Ladner Creek trestle on this little used part of the Historic Kettle Valley Railway.

There is no need to take the trail over the collapsed tunnel to reach this cache. If you choose to take the trail over use caution when climbing and DO NOT walk on the trestle itself.

To get to the trailhead driving from Hope take Exit #195 Carolin Mines. Turn right off the highway onto a dirt road and go left for about 2 KM along the river. Turn left immediately after crossing over the bridge. (yes that road) Follow the road 1 KM under the overpass and around to top beside the highway. Park There. If travelling from the Toll Booth look for the gravel pull out before the overpass.

The trail starts in the small rock fall to the north of where you parked. The first 100 Meters of the trail are steep. The trail then joins the old rail bed and is a nice walk to the cache. The hike there and back shouldn't take more than 40 minutes.

The cache is an ammo can. Please take care to recover the cache so others can enjoy it.
