Every year on the Canada Day long weekend a group of our friends meet us at our cottage on Benoir lake. Every year we take the kids and hike out to High Falls in Algonquin Provincial Park. To commemorate this year we decided to place a kid-friendly cache along the hike into the park and the falls.
A camouflaged ammo can has been placed about 2km from the parking coordinates along the trail. The falls (and another cache) are located about another 1.5km up the trail.
Between late May and early September bring your water shoes, swimming gear and a snack and enjoy this beautiful location as the real reward for the cache.
NOTE: You don’t need to leave the trail by more than a meter or two, so please don’t go bush-whacking and destroy the surrounding vegetation and wildlife.
