The opening sequence of the cinema-released version of the film (learn more about it here) sees Sergeant Howie flying his seaplane over Skye, with the Old Man of Storr in the background. This cache brings you to a location looking across to the rocks featured in the opening credits of the film. It's an ideal drive-by cache (and TB hotel) for anyone unable or unwilling to climb up for bellewether's excellent 'find him a wife'. To reach the cache, park within 350ft/110m of it at the parking area with the waterfall and follow your GPSr's arrow. While you're in the area, I suggest you visit Plockton too as it's a great place to explore in a responsible fashion. The Harbour Master's house, main street and causeway all feature in the movie.

20th June 2017: While this got a visit from me in June 2013, I had to skip this detour this year as I was already spending £550ish in petrol on my Scottish pilgrimage and couldn't spare the time. Anyway, today is this cache's 10th birthday! Thanks for keeping it going folks. Happy caching :)
