Geocache Description:

All One is one of five art pieces in Kate Pond's World Sculpture Project. It marks the two times in the year that the sun is directly overhead in Honolulu and the beginning of the ancient Hawaiian Makahiki festival time. It is oriented to face the eastern heliacal rising of the Pleiades star cluster, occurring near November 20.

All sculptures in the World Sculpture Project celebrate the sun and its interaction with the earth and indiginous cultures. Also, each sculpture is accompanied by a time capsule full of student art works. That art will be taken from the time capsules and sent to exhibitions at the various sites in the year 2015. Update: As of January 2016, the time capsules have all been opened. You can read about it here.

Himeguri - Japan
