I mitten på 1800-talet infördes allt fler
sockenskolor.
Under 2 ½ månader per
In the middle of 19-th century more and more parish schools were
started. They often became ambulatory where a teacher teaches in
short periods in different schools. To start up schools in the
parishes was not accepted by people with local authority when they
expected that if the peasant farmers got education in new subjects
they were to neglect the plough and household, be his own lawyer or
else to be guided in wrong direction.
Between 1864-1894 a school with one lecture room was located on
this place. During 2 ½ months per year education was carried
on in an ambulatory elementary school. During the rest of the year
the school was a junior school. The only remains of the school are
the gateposts and part of the foundation of the school house.
