Sorvarinperän nousu ja tuho
50-luvun tietämissä Sorvarissa oli kymmenkunta asuttua taloutta. Peltoa raivattiin ahkerasti paremman elämän toivossa. 60-luvulla perukalle siunaantui lapsia siihen tahtiin että sinne puuhattiin jopa omaa koulua. Nyt enää kahdessa talossa asutaan pysyvästi. Paria taloa käytetään vapaa-ajan asuntoina. Loput talot ovat sortuneet tai piakkoin sortumassa maan tasalle. Suurella työllä raivatut pellot puskevat pajua. Osaa pelloista koristaa lähes hakkuukypsä metsä.
Kätkön löytääksesi joudut kävelemään 4-5 km. Jalkineiksi suosittelen vaelluskenkiä tai kumisaappaita.

Glory and fall of Sorvarinperä
In the 50’s there were about ten households in Sorvarinperä. People were clearing forest and marshland to get some fields. More fields would mean higher quality of life. In the 60’s there were so many children in these houses that they even planned to have their own school at Sorvarinperä. Now there are only two houses where people live all year round. Two other houses are used as holiday cottages. Rest of the houses have collapsed or will soon collapse.
Total length of the route is 4 to 5 km. I recommend to wear hiking or rubber boots.
