Geocache Description:

This cache is located in a beautiful small plantation of Cork Oaks. The texture of the trees and the light canopy is enchanting. Have patience- GPS reception can be a bit erratic under the tree canopy.

Look closely and you will see that the bark from many of these trees has been harvested. I believe that the earliest plantings were made in 1917. The plantation has now been incorporated into the arboretum with good paths through the trees.
The best access is via the National Arboretum, where there is parking at the southern end of the forest. You will need to bring a pen.
The cache is wired in place, with natural camo, to beat the local four legged muggles. You will need to be gentle and remove this in two or three steps. Unscrew the lid of the micro container but do not remove it from its wire. Gently replace the covering camo please.
