To find this cache, you will first need to find these six puzzle caches, each of which is hidden in the mountains of Salt Lake County:

You will probably find these web pages helpful when solving some of the puzzles:

Each of the six caches contains the name of a prominent scientist taped to the inside of its container. You will need to convert each scientist's birthday and deathday into numbers (comprised of exactly five digits) using the format MMYYY, where MM is the number of the month and YYY is the last three digits of the year. (For example, Albert Einstein was born on March 14, 1879 and died on April 18, 1955, so his birthday converts to 03879 and his deathday converts to 04955.) Use the Gregorian (standard) calendar for all dates.

The coordinates of Canyon Conundrum are N 40° AB.CDE W 111° FG.HIJ. You can obtain AB.CDE by summing the six birthday numbers, subtracting 7358, and dividing by 1000. You can obtain FG.HIJ by summing the six deathday numbers, subtracting 6245, and dividing by 1000.

The cache container is an ammo case, and finding it will require a moderate bushwhack. The best approach is to go south from the nearest trail to the low point on the ridge, which you can then follow to the cache. Good luck and have fun!

Congratulations to himilecyclist for being first to find.
