The puzzle can be solved by a two step process. The first is a
simple mathematical operation and for the second it doesn't matter
if you are on a Mac or a PC, the standard is the same. You do not
need to download anything to solve this - it can all be easily done
by hand. There are some tools on your PC, and probably on your Mac
that will help though.

Initial contents include a log book, pens, silica gel, a couple of
trade items and a geocoin for the FTF.
GPS coverage is not brilliant at the final location, but you
