Geocache Description:

The cache is located at the territory af Ako monument

Ako monument is opened comparitively not long ago (1994) and it is one of the newest visitation object in the rural territory of Salaspils. The monument is situated on the bank of the Daugava at the end of RIGA HES dam, not far from the road Riga – Daugavpils.

Ako, the livonian chieftain, organized the first revolt against the German crusaders but suffered defeat.

Be careful. The place is quite popular for picnics
