Glas i centrum vann en tävling 1968 där det gällde att pryda stadshusplan i Nybro. Konstverket består av en evighetsslinga i smide täckt med blad guld och glasblåsarpipor med glober i övre ändan. Glas i centrum som också kallas Evighetsslingan har blivit en symbol för Nybro stad.Konstnären som heter Vicke Lindstrand har tillsammans med Edward Hald gjort dekormåleri på sagabiografen i Kalmar,Sveriges äldsta biograf som fortfarande är i drift. 
(Eng) Glass-the centre of attraction won a competition to adorn the open space in front of the Town Hall in Nybro. The work of art made up of an everlasting trail of leaves covered in gold-leaf as well as blowpipes with globes at the upper ends. Glass-the centre of attraction, also called The Everlasting Trail has become a symbol for Nybro and was unveiled in 1968 of Vicke Lindstrand.
