Geocache Description:

This cache has been placed on 12 May 2007by Blouberg Ridge Primary’s Grade 7’s on one of the most beautiful mountains in our country. It is an annual event that an eager mountain climber Mr. Smith from the school arranges as a challenge for the grade 7’s of Blouberg Ridge Primary School. The way to the top is never easy and the strenuous 6 hour hike is called Beach to Beacon and starts at Bakhoven Bay where all participants dip their hands in the sea and head up to MacClears Beacon (1087m) on Table Mountain where all enjoyed great views over the city and peninsula. The narrow finger of land with its beautiful valleys, bays and beaches is surrounded by the waters of the Atlantic Ocean in the west and the warmer waters of False Bay.

This cache commemorates each year of Grade 7’s in their last year of primary school and the cache logs will be excitedly viewed by all at the School. A photo of yourself at the cache site will be greatly appreciated. We hope you enjoy this cache as much as they enjoyed placing it.
