Geocache Description:

The cache is a large peanut butter jar, hidden under a pile of bricks.

This cache is located by the ruins of a large boiler room, just off the county road. Once heated to unbearable temperatures, this large furnace fired a mighty boiler, heating thick crude oil, to be sent via pipeline for refining far away. Now derelict, these old ruins stand as a silent tribute to Kern County's oil rich history. Some stealth may be required. The rancher across the road seems kind of paranoid, as he drives up and down the road several times a day. Also, keep an eye out for the occasional State Water guy or oilfield worker.
