Geocache Description:

An enormous old specimen tree.

!!IMPORTANT NOTE - THE CACHE IS NOT HIDDEN ON THE TREE!!

I'm not sure when this tree was planted but it's certainly a none-native species. The Cedar of Lebanon is a coniferous tree, native to the mountains of the Mediterranean region, Lebanon, western Syria and south central Turkey.

Go on, give it a hug - it's a long way from home!

Please do not park on Borrowdale Rd, it is very busy - please use the listed parking co-ordinates.

This cache was hidden to coincide with the Caching and Camping in Cumbria 2007 event.
