Geocache Description:

This is a beautiful park. There is some controversy as to its fate in the future. Come on out and bring the children, this is a nice hike. You can even mountain bike to the cache. No steep hills involved. Round trip total = 1.2 miles.

While placing this cache, we saw an abundance of Rufous Sided Towhees, Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles. At the pond, we were watching all the tadpoles and also saw a small newt in the water, a snake, and dragonfly naiads! The wildlife here is abundant, you just have to slow down to enjoy it. The cache isn't far off the trail. Hunting is allowed at this park. Please wear the appropriate orange clothing when caching during hunting season. Follow this link Pleasant Valley Park to find out about this park and when hunting season opens and closes. There is also a map located on the link above. A map will be helpful. Mountain biking, hiking and cross country skiing are all encouraged at this seldom used park.
