Geocache Description:

Our first cache near the entrance to Capt. John Creek access. Access is off of Redbird road near Waha area. Be sure to watch for the signs posted by Id. Fish and Game so you don't make a wrong turn onto private property. The road is passable by car if your careful from Redbird road but you will need high clearance and possibly 4wd if you access it from Waha Glen (not recommended). It will not be accessible in winter by car.

This is an easy to find cache once you get to the parking area. It's a short but somewhat steep hike. The view is worth it. The name is a dead give away. The road behind the gate goes all the way to the Snake River but is closed to motorized vehicles and is steep most of the 11 or so miles down. The Idaho F&G uses it to access their facility on the river. The ride down on a mountain bike is a blast but brutal to ride out. Park at the parking area just beyond the gate to that road. The cache is an ammo can that contains a few items for kids including a Disney video and toys, etc. There is also a geocoin that needs to be logged if you take it. Enjoy the cache and please respect the no motorized vehicle areas.
