[Por] Ao procurar esta cache vai visitar o Monte de S. Gens situado
no concelho da Trofa, apreciar as vistas dos vales envolventes e sobretudo
divertir-se.
A estrutura geológica do concelho
é fortemente marcada pelas serras de xisto que culminam em unidades
de elevado valor paisagístico e com excelentes bacias visuais, das
quais se destaca o Monte de S. Gens ou de Cidai, à cota máxima de
202 m.
No Monte de S. Gens, usufrui-se de um vasto e deslumbrante panorama
que se estende sobre a fértil planície do aluvião principal, a
cidade da Trofa, Ribeirão, em V. N. de Famalicão, e as serras de
Vale e Cabrito já na freguesia de Covelas. Possui um farto manto
florestal, formado maioritariamente por pinheiros e eucaliptos, que
se estende pelas serras envolventes.
Neste monte localiza-se, também,
uma capela associada ao santo padroeiro do mesmo nome,
realizando-se uma romaria anual no 1º domingo de
Setembro.
Se for um adepto do BTT vai ver
que não faltam trilhos pelas redondezas, pode trazer a sua
bicicleta e fazer uns drops.

is located in Trofa municipality, apreciate the sights of the
surrounding valleys and most of all have fun.
The geological structure of the
municipality is strongly marked by schist mountain ranges that
culminate on units of strong scenical value and excelent visual
basins, of which we can name the S. Gens de Cidai Mountain, with a
maximum hight of 202 meters.
On S. Gens Mountain we enjoy a
vast and stunning scenery that spreads over the fertile alluvion
planes, Trofa city, Ribeirão in V. N. de Famalicão and the Vale and
Cabrito mountain ranges in Covelas parish. It has an abundant
florestal cover above all made up of pine trees and eucalyptus that
spreads over the surrounding mountains.
On this mountain there's a chapel
associated with the saint patron that takes the same name and every
year on the first sunday of September there's a
pilgrimage.
If you like MTB you will find
lots of paths, you can bring your bicycle to do some
drops.
