Die Berufsfeuerwehr Erfurt (Feuerwache 1)
1910
Die Berufsfeuerwehr begann ihre Tätigkeit am 1. April 1910 mit:
• 1 Feldwebel
• 2 Oberfeuerwehrleuten und
• 6 Feuerwehrmännern
Noch im gleichen Jahr wurden 6 weitere Feuerwehrleute
eingestellt, so daß die Kopfzahl der Wehr 15 Mann betrug.
14. Juni 1996 - Das Gefahrenschutzzentrum (GSZ)
wurde feierlich eingeweiht.
Das Gefahrenschutzzentrum findet man im nördlichen Stadtteil von Erfurt, nahe des Ortsteiles Marbach, an der B4 in der St.-Florian-Straße, auf einer Fläche von ca. 25.000 m². Durch die rechtwinklige Bauform wurden mehrere Funktionsbereiche geschaffen. Ein zweigeschossiges unterkellertes Funktionsgebäude begrenzt als dritter Baukörper nach Nordosten die Hoflage. Die gewünschte Unterbringung von 48 Großfahrzeugen erfordert eine architektonisch kompakte, funktionale und kostensparende Bauweise. Die Wache beinhaltet erdgeschossig 30 Fahrzeugstellplätze in einer 6 m hohen Fahrzeughalle. Die Stadt Erfurt geht davon aus, daß mit Inbetriebnahme des GSZ (einem 38,5 Mill.-Objekt) sich nicht nur die Arbeitsbedingungen für die Angestellten der Stadtverwaltung verbessern, sondern zugleich die Sicherheit für die Bürger und Einwohner der Stadt Erfurt in einem noch besseren Umfang gewährleistet wird. Dieses wird nicht nur deutlich durch den Einsatz moderner Technik im Kfz-Bereich, sondern ebenso im Bereich der Leitstelle durch die neuen Kommunikationsmöglichkeiten.“ Das Gefahrenschutzzentrum zählt derzeit in Deutschland zu den Modernsten. Die Planung begann 1991, Ende 1993 gab,s den ersten Spatenstich, der eigentliche Bau begann am 08. Februar 1994 . Kaum sieben Monate später wurde Richtfest gefeiert. Zur Eröffnung gab es reichlich Geschenke, unter anderem eine Modelldarstellung des Eisenbahnunglückes von Bischleben. Die gestiftete Glocke vom Autohaus Leser bekam im Eingangsbereich ihren Ehrenplatz.

The professional fire-brigade began its activity on 1 April 1910 with:
• 1 sergeant
• 2 upper firefighters and
• 6 firefighters
Still in the same year 6 further firefighters were adjusted, so that the head number of the resistance amounted to 15 men.
14. June 1996 - The danger protection center (GSZ)
