Geocache Description:

Looking across the bay to Coverack, this cache is set at the site of the wreck of the Mina Cantiquin on the Lowlands.
It is not on the National Trust land.

The Mina Cantiquin was a Spanish single boiler steamship which hit rocks at Blackhead in a south-westerly gale on 4 November 1951. She drifted across Coverack bay and came to rest on rocks at the Lowlands. There was no loss of life.

Some pieces of wreckage from the ship can still be seen at very low water.

The cache is a screw top plastic container. It is not hidden in the wall.
