Beach Gator's Inland Fishponds Cache. Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Pink Paisley: This cache has always been fairly low maintenance, but has gone missing after nearly 3 years so I am going to take this opportunity to make some space for another cache by archiving it. I have a plan for another in the area, but if I get beaten to it........

Geocache Description:

This easy cache is located close to a historical fish pond on Butts Close, the common land used when the fair visits Hitchin.

This cache is placed near the fish ponds which are now poorly maintained. It is probable that these fish ponds were linked in some way to a monastery nearby (indeed there is a Priory within a short haddock's throw from these ponds).

I would not recommend that you try night caching here since lighting is poor and the ponds are wet. In fact they will be wet right up to your waist (further if you are vertically challenged).

Original contents of the cache.

Tape measure
Picture hanging kit
Box of 75 wood screws
Calculator
Glitter crayons
Neon Crayons
Box of monster paper clips
Box of binder clips
CITO film cannister
35mm film cannister containing novelty erasers
Log book
Beach Gator TB
AND a pen.

This cache was set by way of an apology to Beach Gator who was brought far inland from his mission to visit beaches. Well, at least there will be fish here for him.
