Geocache Description:

Another cache focusing on the remains of a bygone era on Long Island.

The posted CO's are just a placeholder. Parking co's are listed in waypoints below. To find the CO's to the cache you have to find the full name of the person who once owned the 84-room estate on which this minaret was found. Unfortunately the estate burned down in 1957 and virtually all that remains is the minaret.

minaret

You can actually see the minaret on Google Earth at N 40 52.379 W 73 28.934 (see waypoints).

Once you have the full name, count the number of letters in his first name ("A"), number of letters in middle name ("B"), and number of letters in last name ("C"). The cache CO's are N 40 A(9-B).1(C+2)2 and W 73 2C.B0(A+1).

You can check your answers for this puzzle on Geochecker.com.

Cache is medium-sized tupperware container. Once you find the cache look to the WNW across the harbor (290 degrees) and you will see the minaret. Some binoculars will be particularly useful.
