Ulvilan kaupungin vesitornin huipulla sijaitseva tähtitorni
valmistui vuonna 1990. Vesitorni on hyvä paikka tähtitornille,
koska se on yli 20 metriä korkea, joten puut eivät haittaa
näkyvyyttä. Tornilla on tehty runsaasti laadukkaita havaintoja,
lähinnä oman aurinkokuntamme kohteita havaitaan, kuten Marsia,
Venusta, Jupiteria ja Saturnusta.
The observatory is located in Ulvila at the top of town´s water
tower. Built in 1990 the observatory has served hundreds of
visitors from nearby cities. The water tower is great place for
observatory. The tower is over 20 meters high so trees won´t block
the view.
