VENUE
The Event will be run from the Mount Gambier Baseball Club at Blue Lake Sports Park
This venue is liscenced which means you may not bring your own alcohol onto the premisis. However the bar prices are more than reasonable, $3 beer, $2.50 L.beer, $4 premix spirits, $1.50 water, $2 glass of wine. The bar will be staffed by club members at no cost, we ask you support this as it is an excellent facility for this event and has been offered at a reduced rate because of this. They also have a fully equiped kitchen, big screen TV with a DVD player, a pool table all at our disposal and more than enough seating for what we need. They also have gas heating which we are sure the Adelaide teams will enjoy

ACCOMODATION
There will be no accommodation at the event HQ. All teams will need to find their own sleeping arrangements. Mount Gambier does have a lot of caravan parks, motels and hotels however with the event being a long weekend, you'd need to be booking a place to stay soon. Here is a great place to start

SATURDAY
8:00am Event HQ will open for registrations.
You will recieve 2x Temporary caches & a folder at this time. You may bring ONE of your own caches from home to use if you wish although it must be large enough to hold a credit card sized card and a stamp. ie NO MICROS

Each Team will need to bring a giftwrapped prize to the value of $10
There is an entrance fee of $20 to cover consumables/hire/catering/supplies at this time.
We ask large combined teams of more than 4 people to please pay $20 per actual geocaching team for catering purposes. Trust us, you WILL be getting your moneys worth

9:30am Briefing for everyone taking part in the event @ Event HQ.

9:45 on -> hide your caches & fill out the hidesheets

4:00pm All GPSr's & Hide sheets to be handed by 4pm.
ALL GPSr's will be locked up overnight for upload of game coordinates, we will only be uploading to one GPSr per team, If you have a data cable please make it avaliable to the organisers. All waypoints in your GPS will be deleted so make sure you have a backup of your coords....

There are currently more than 50 active caches in the proposed gamezone. We think this should keep you fairly busy on the saturday.
If you just cant get enough of caching, we will have some GPS games organised to play at Event HQ over the weekend

There is a CITO event listed (GC130KP Dont Trash the Mount )to run with the main event. All we ask you do is return the rubbish from your car from each days caching.

This year we have a few guidelines:
We will only be uploading coordinates to 1 gps, you may use more, that is up to you.

Rule 1:
Play Fair! if you find yourself wondering "is this ok?" it most certainly is not.

Combining Teams: there are a few teams who have combined. The SECS team has talked about this at length and agree to let it take place, although we are not encouraging it.
We place the responsiblity for the "fairness" of the mergers back on the combining teams - see rule 1
However, we encourage combined teams to travel in one vehicle.

Speeding & Reckless Driving:
We want everyone to go home safely after the event
The police have been informed of this event and will contact us if there is a problem. This is not a motorsport event and we expect you to behave accordingly, anyone seen to be driving in an irresponsible manner will be disqualified.

There have been some items donated by Rockwell Automation, Camping World Mt Gambier, The South Eastern Hotel & Alex from Cartographics.
We urge you to support these buisnesses if possible.
