Just a few is known about the castle's history. The area of Lökösháza was given to an „equestrian-officer” of the emperor, Edelspacher Zsigmond at 1725. His heir, János Bánhidy married with the daughter of the patrician of Velence, Krisztina Anna Capetta at 1770. Her son-in-law, János Vásárhelyi has had the Bréda-castle built. When? The exact date is not known, but professionals think the time of the building was about at 1810. The incitement of the builder's wife the castle is almost the copy of the „Villa Rotoda” of Andréa Palladio. Presumption too, that the Bréda-castle is Mihály Pollack's piece of art.
