First take the chopped potatoes and dump them in a bowl. Then
add the cooked ground beef, and lastly the chopped yellow onions.
Mix contents of bowl together and then put them through a meat
grinder using a medium grinder attachment so that they are well
mixed and ground.
Heat a large fry pan - preferably a cast iron pan - on medium
high to high heat. Add the hash to the frying pan so that the hash
covers the bottom of the pan. Add the Olive oil. Brown the hash,
stirring only infrequently at first to make sure that the hash has
an opportunity to brown well. As you cook the hash, add the salt
and pepper mixture. Cook until the hash is well browned. Finally,
cover with the ketchup and serve immediately.
