Geocache Description:

The cache is situated just outside Princetown. Nice level walk, suitable for pushchairs. Please be careful with young children as there is a big drop off the bridge.

The Plymouth and Dartmoor railway opened in 1823, but did not get as far as Princetown until 1826. The terminus at this point was behind what is now The Railway Inn. It was built principally to serve the nearby granite quarries. The stretch between Princetown and Yelverton later became a branch line of the GWR, and ran until 1956. Cache is located in a small pill pot. Please be discreet - is a very popular area. You will need to take a pen as there is not one in the cache.
