Kačacia fontána Traditional Geocache

Vodník sa s deťmi spriatelil a nechal ich nazrieť do svojho vodného kráľovstva. Dovolil im však nazrieť len raz. Ich zvedavosť však bola silnejšia ako sľub a preto sa vydali pod hladinu Dunaja ešte raz.

Trúfalosť chlapcov vodník potrestal a zmenil ich aj s kačicami na kameň. Zmeravených v bronze ich zachytáva aj súsošie Kühmayerovej fontány.

Róbert KÜHMAYER mal v čase vytvorenia fontány 31 rokov.
Jeho najznámejším dielom je zrejme piešťanský Barlolamač.

Shepherd boys used to tend ducks on shore of the river Danube, where the merman lived. Boys made friendship with the merman. One day the merman let boys to see his merman kingdom, but the merman said that they are allowed to see it just once.

The merman told them, if their agreement will be broken terrible curse appear. Boys swore never step into the kingdom again. But their curiousness was so strong. One day, when the merman was not there, boys entered to the merman kingdom again and curse was accomplished. Boys and their ducks turned to the stoned that moment.

Seinerzeit pflegten die Hirtenjungen am Ufer der Donau, wo der Wassermann lebte, Enten zu halten. Die Jungen freundeten sich mit dem Wassermann an. Eines Tages ließ er die Jungen, sein Wasserreich sehen, aber der Wassermann sagte ihnen, dass sie es nur einmal zu Gesicht bekommen dürften.

Der Wassermann erklärte ihnen, dass, wenn dieses Abkommen gebrochen würde, ein furchtbarer Fluch über sie kommen würde. Doch ihre Neugier war zu groß. Eines Tages, als der Wassermann nicht zu Hause war, drangen die Jungen in sein Reich ein und der Fluch kam über sie. Die Junge und ihre Enten erstarrten augenblicklich zu Stein..
