Geocache Description:

Located in the shadow of the Moone High Cross near Moone village in County Kildare.

The Moone High Cross is one of the finest examples of Celtic High crosses in Ireland. The cross has been preserved inside the walls of the Moone Abbey, but the cache is in the grounds of the Abbey.

The road leading from Moone village looks like it might be onto private property, but it is a public road and is sign posted from the village.

It may be hard to get a GPS reading, it was the day the cache was planted. You may have to walk around the grounds a bit to get the reading. Car parking is limited, but is available roadside outside the grounds.

The original cache had:
A key ring
A golf ball
A Super Bowl table top football
A Vodafone luggage tag
A €5.00 "First to Find" reward
