Geocache Description:

Pine Creek Trailhead and Secret Canyon are best known to the trail horse people however the average hiker should not pass up this beautiful hike. Terrain Rating: 2.5 Difficulty: 2. The parking is at N32 50.243 W116 32.494 The park service requests that you have an Adventure Pass when you park at the trailhead. As yrium mentions in the log, they can be purchased at the Pine Valley Market.

From Pine Valley, go west on Old Highway 80 and find the Pine Creek Trailhead on your left (about 1.5 miles). From the trailhead take Secret Canyon Trail (Shhhh, it’s a secret) and watch the GPS for your destination. At a brisk pace it will take about 35 minute to arrive at the cache. Distance is 1.53 miles. Elevation 3,497’. Basically you will be following Pine Creek so the elevation changes will not be substantial. It can get hot. The Cleveland National Forest maintains Pine Creek Trailhead and you will find restrooms and clearly marked trails.
The first arrivals to the cache will find: toys, $1 gold coins, pocket knife, Deer Hunter 3 computer game, VHS tape -Jurassic Park and the rare Creekbed geocache trading cards.
