Geocache Description:

The Big Cypress National Preserve contains a mixture of tropical and temperate plant communities that are home to a diversity of wildlife, including the elusive Florida Panther and possibly a few Hominid Cryptids.

The most popular local cryptid is the Skunk Ape. It is thought to dwell deep in Florida’s swamps. Possibly a relative of the northern Bigfoot or maybe a transplant from another planet.

It is called the Skunk Ape because of its powerful foul odor, which is said to be a cross between a skunk, rotten eggs and cow manure.

Access after dark at your own risk due to the potential aggressiveness of cryptids and other creatures that reside in the swamp.

This cache is located on private property with permission.
